The beginning of the fall semester is here. We have been doing outreach for almost 2 weeks now, and I have already gotten to see God work in some amazing way. First off, our staff has gone from 7 full staffers, down to 4. But God sent us a team of volunteers from Texas who helped us enormously during our first week of Challenge at 2 of the community colleges. And we are seeing dozens of people come to learn about God at the community college meetings. Another way God has provided is through many of the student leaders who have stepped up and taken initiative to minister to the other students. And I am so thankful for them. I have seen Evan, a student who is taking a semester off, use almost every day to reach out to students all day! He is making a huge impact for the Kingdom. But it isn't without opposition. Tonight as he came to help reach out to students on campus at SDSU, his car got towed away! After he found that there was no hope of getting his car back tonight, he joined us again to share the gospel near the freshman dorms. One of the things I personally try to pray for every day is that he would send out more people to share the gospel with people who don't know Jesus. And we are seeing him answer that. There are so many other students who have taken time out of their busy schedules to prioritize reaching their classmates for Christ in these first days of the semester, and I am so thankful. You know who you are. I love you guys! As we have found people who were interested in Challenge, many of them have signed up by writing down there name on a little card. By now we have hundreds of them. In the evenings we often spend our time contacting as many of them as we can to invite them to events where they can learn about God. But each card is more than just a name. It's a person who is loved by God. It's a person who desperately needs to know Jesus! Pray that we would get to know those who are seeking to know God. I am so thankful to work with a staff that works hard for the sake of the gospel. Thank you David Worcester for leading our team well and setting an example. Matt Wright and David Morgan, it's an honor to work alongside you for the Kingdom. And I have seen you all endure long days of work. Sometimes from 9am to 12 or 1am! And wives, what would we do without you!? We serve a wonderful God who uses ordinary men and pregnant ladies to fulfill his awesome purposes:)
